WORLD WEAVERS – STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all tours, retreats, and journeys (“Tour”) operated by World Weavers Pty Ltd (“World Weavers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking or participating in a Tour, you (“Participant,” “you”) agree to these Terms.


1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

  • Deposit A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • Final Balance. The remaining 80% balance is due on specific date listed for your Tour). Bookings made after this date require full payment at the time of booking.
  • Payment Methods. Payments must be made via the methods specified on your invoice or booking page.


2. CANCELLATION BY PARTICIPANT

If you need to cancel your participation:

Refunds of Deposit

  • Cancellations before 90 days of departure can recieve 100% refund of total cost.
  • Cancellations 90 - 30 days out from departure can receive 80% refund of total cost.
  • Cancellations within 30 days of departure are not eligible for refund of the deposit.
  • Failure to pay the balance by the due date may be treated as cancellation.

World Weavers strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.


3. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY WORLD WEAVERS

We reserve the right to:

  • Cancel a Tour due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, or extraordinary circumstances;
  • Make changes to the itinerary, accommodations, leaders, or activities for reasons including safety, local conditions, weather, or logistical requirements.

If World Weavers cancels a Tour, you may:

  • Transfer your payments to a future Tour, or
  • Receive a refund of payments made (excluding unrecoverable supplier costs).

World Weavers is not responsible for ancillary expenses such as flights, visas, or travel insurance.


4. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Comprehensive travel insurance (including medical coverage, evacuation, trip cancellation, and lost baggage) is mandatory for all Participants. Proof of insurance may be required before departure.


5. HEALTH, FITNESS & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

  • The physical and mental fitness required for the Tour;
  • Any necessary vaccinations or medical precautions;
  • All required documentation (passport, visas, permits, etc.).

World Weavers may decline participation if a Participant’s health, behaviour, or preparedness jeopardises the group.


6. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

World Weavers operates experiential journeys in diverse natural, cultural, and spiritual environments. Participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Uneven terrain
  • Altitude
  • Weather extremes
  • Transport in local vehicles
  • Wildlife encounters
  • Unpredictable local conditions

By joining the Tour, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own responsibility.


7. LIABILITY WAIVER

World Weavers, its employees, guides, and partners are not liable for:

  • Injury, illness, death, or property loss
  • Delays, changes, or cancellations caused by third parties
  • Acts of nature, political unrest, or unforeseen events
  • Actions or negligence of any third-party suppliers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you waive any claim against World Weavers arising from participation in the Tour.


8. BEHAVIOUR & GROUP CONDUCT

Participants must:

  • Respect local cultures, customs, and sacred sites;
  • Follow instructions from guides and facilitators;
  • Maintain respectful behaviour toward other participants.

World Weavers may remove a Participant from the Tour for behaviour that threatens safety, disrupts the group, or violates local laws.

No refund is provided in such cases.


9. MEDIA CONSENT

Unless you request otherwise in writing, you grant permission for photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the Tour to be used by World Weavers for promotional and archival purposes.


10. PRIVACY

Your personal information is collected solely for Tour administration and will be handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws.


11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of  Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
